Fraizer Campbell has been a hugely important player for Nigel Adkins' Hull City this season, but is currently facing an uncertain future at the KCOM Stadium.

The 31-year-old has been in impressive form in front of goal, scoring 12 goals and adding a further six assists in all competitions for the Tigers this term.

But the club's financial position could mean that they lose Campbell, potentially on a free transfer in the summer, with the club choosing not to trigger the 12-month extension option in the player's contract as of yet.

Now, reports from Hull Live claim that the striker's hometown club, Huddersfield Town, are eyeing up a move for the prolific forward, as they prepare for life in the Championship next term.

Jan Siewert's men were the first top-flight team to book their place in the second tier for next season, and see Campbell's experience and knowhow in front of goal as an ideal fit in their side.

With that being said, here, we take a look at three replacements that Hull must consider if Campbell left for Huddersfield...

Mallik Wilks

Wilks has been very impressive for another Yorkshire club in Doncaster Rovers this term, scoring 16 goals and producing six assists for Grant McCann's men this season.

The powerful forward, on loan from Leeds United, has made just one senior appearance for the Whites since emerging from the youth set-up at Elland Road.

After proving himself in League One, the 20-year old could be the perfect replacement for Campbell.

Tom Eaves

Another striker that is currently firing on all cylinders in the league below is Tom Eaves for Gillingham.

The 27-year old has scored 20 goals and produced five assists for the League One side this season, but his contract at the Priestfield Stadium is set to expire at the end of the season.

He's a different player to Campbell in the sense that he is more direct and a lot more physical, but deserves his chance in the Championship.

Winnall has fallen out of favour at Sheffield Wednesday this term, after enduring a hugely disappointing time with injuries this term.

The 28-year old has made just one league start for the Owls this season, and may be looking to move away and start afresh in the summer.

A proven forward at this level, the powerful centre-forward would be a good replacement for the Tigers.
