QPR currently sit in 13th place in the Championship table at the moment, and although a return to the Premier League may seem far off right now, the club saw many players walk through the doors during their last stint in the top flight.

The club spent three seasons in the Premier League between 2011 and 2015, with some big-time players making the switch to Loftus Road in that time.

Here, we remind you of THREE former QPR players that you forgot were at the club during those years...

Bruno Perone

The Brazilian defender joined the club in 2011 on a free transfer, in what was an unexpected signing to say the least.

Prior to making the switch to west London, the centre-back played for the Brazilian side Figueirense, and Spanish outfit Xerez.

Things did not go to plan for Perone at QPR, as he managed just a total of two appearances for the club during the course of his one-year stay. He was released in 2012.

He has since gone on to play for eleven further clubs in his career, such as Real Zaragoza and Kerala Blasters.

QUIZ: Do you know what year these 14 QPR players joined the club?

Mauro Zarate

The Argentian was another high profile name that joined Rangers during the 2014-15 season, as he made the switch on loan from West Ham.

He had a tough time during two-season spell at West Ham, and it was hoped that at QPR, he would show what he was truly capable of.

However, once again, this failed to materialise, as Zarate made just four appearances in total before his loan was cut short due to injuries.

Taye Taiwo

The Nigerian international made a surprising switch to Loftus Road in January 2012 from AC Milan, joining the R's on loan for the remainder of that campaign.

His gametime at the Italian giants was limited that season, which was a major factor in his decision to change his surroundings. Funnily enough, Taiwo was Mark Hughes' first signing as R's boss, just two weeks after he took charge.

He went on to make 15 appearances for Rangers as the side avoided relegation from the Premier League by a single point.
