Gary Rowett's Millwall head into tonight's clash with Wigan Athletic in good form following on from their surprise 1-0 away win at high-flying Swansea City, thanks to Jed Wallace's superb free kick.

The former Birmingham City boss will have no doubt been delighted by the way his squad have taken to his managerial methods since he took charge of the Lions.

Millwall can boast the fact that they have picked up good wins of late against the likes of Charlton Athletic and Stoke City, thus allowing them to move further and further up the league table after what was a slow start to the campaign.

The ex-Derby County manager will certainly be feeling positive ahead of tonight's clash, with the Lions facing a Wigan side who have now gone five games without a win in the Championship, thus presenting a great opportunity for the Lions to pick another win, on paper.

Ahead of tonight's game, we take a look at THREE factors that will decide Millwall's clash with Wigan Athletic....

Jed Wallace's influence

One player's performance which will certainly be a decisive factor in tonight's contest is Jed Wallace, with the former Portsmouth man having registered seven goals and two assists so far, the onus will once again be on the 25-year-old to provide a game changing moment.

Wallace will be aiming to take advantage of Wigan's leaky backline by making runs into the inside channels that will create an overload through the centre of the final third when Millwall are on the attack, thus yielding more goal scoring opportunities.

Bialkowski's solidity

One other player who's performance levels will be detrimental to Millwall taking another three points tonight is Bartosz Bialkowski, with the Polish goal keeper having performed brilliantly in recent weeks for the Lions between the sticks.

His commanding style of goalkeeping and organizational skills certainly come in handy tonight against a Wigan side who play with a direct style that involves a lot of long balls and crosses into the penalty area that will in theory keep the 32-year-old busy this evening.

Molumby's return

Much of Millwall's creativity and game management in tonight's game will rest on the availability of young midfielder Jayson Molumby, with the 20-year-old having missed the weekend victory at Swansea due to hip problem.

The youngster's passing range and tactical nouse will prove to be critical to Millwall's chances of claiming all three points, particularly with Rowett looking for his side to be better in possession of the ball.
