Birmingham City have made a decent start to the season under Pep Clotet and are currently 15th in the Championship table, eight points outside the play-offs.

One of the standout players for the Blues in the Championship so far this season has undoubtedly been 16-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Since become the Blues' youngest ever player when he made his first-team debut back in August, the highly-rated teenager has been able to establish himself as a key member of the side.

He's made 17 appearances for Birmingham in the Championship, scoring two goals, and is building a reputation as one of the most gifted and exciting young players in the country.

Bellingham has risen through the ranks at the Blues and there are plenty of other players at the club who are hoping to follow in his footsteps and go on to make an impact for the first-team.

With this in mind, here are three emerging young Birmingham players that look set to have a bright future...

Caolan Boyd-Munce

Caolan Boyd-Munce is a name that some Birmingham fans will already be familiar with - he was one of the youngsters who made his debut for the first-team during the Carabao Cup defeat at Portsmouth back in August.

The 19-year-old signed his first professional contract at Birmingham in the summer, following a promising season for the Blues' under-23 side, where he scored one goal in 23 appearances.

He's an energetic, creative, box-to-box midfielder and his performances for the Blues' Under-23s so far this season have been very encouraging. He's a talented young player and could have a bright future ahead of him at St Andrew's.

Jack Concannon

Jack Concannon has been one of the standout players for Birmingham's Under-23 side so far this season.The 19-year-old is a creative and intelligent midfielder, and is regarded as one of the brightest young talents at St Andrew's.

Concannon is yet to make a first-team appearance for Birmingham, but he's already had a taste of senior football, having spent the second half of last season on loan at non-league side Tamworth.

He's been with the Blues since the age of seven and has risen through the ranks at the club - it seems as though it could be only a matter of time before he gets an opportunity in the first-team.

Ryan Stirk

Ryan Stirk is another young player who has impressed for the Blues' Under-23 side over the past few seasons.

The 20-year-old signed his first professional contract with Birmingham over two years ago, but he's yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blues.

The defensive midfielder is also a technically gifted  player and is very comfortable on the ball. He's continued to impress for the Blues' Under-23s this season and it seems as though he could have a very bright future ahead of him at St Andrew's.
