The English Football League season is drawing to a close this weekend, with attention soon to be turning to the summer transfer window.

There have been some exceptional individual performers right across the Football League this season, with plenty of transfer speculation already circulating the biggest names outside the top-flight.

The quality of performers we have seen has led to the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal all touted as potential destinations for some of the Sky Bet Championship’s talent.

One high-profile Premier League club who don’t appear to have been linked with many players from the Football League is Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

However, that isn’t to say that a number of Championship players wouldn’t improve the squad at Old Trafford.

With that in mind, we take a look at THREE EFL stars that we believe Mourinho should consider making an agreement for over the course of the summer…

Neves has had an excellent first year in English football, helping Wolves to promotion and the Championship title.

The 21-year-old midfielder has shown real class in the Championship and looks like he could go to the top of the game over the course of his career.

Mourinho will know his compatriot well and could do far worse than adding him to his midfield unit.

Sessegnon needs no introduction after a fine year with Fulham.

The left sided teenager has impressed at Craven Cottage and put Fulham in promotion contention.

Sessegnon will be playing Premier League football next season and Man United would be foolish to not make a move for him.

Calling Hirst an EFL star is perhaps a bit far, given he has hardly featured for Sheffield Wednesday.

However, his reputation is outstanding and many think he is destined for the Premier League.

Unlike Neves and Sessegnon, Hirst wouldn’t be ready for senior football at Old Trafford, but could be one for the future.
