The busy Christmas fixture schedule in the EFL is looming, but it is also a time when Owners and Chairman tend to make a move regarding their manager, therefore giving any new recruit the second half of the season to turn things around.

Here we look at the three EFL managers who may be fearing the sack.......

Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook remains in the spotlight with his side failing to register a win in their last nine outings and now firmly in the relegation zone in 23rd place, three points from safety.

The Latics also have a tough festive period with matches against Blackburn, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City, so life will not be getting any easier for Cook anytime soon.

QPR manager Mark Warburton has seen his side unable to string any results together, with the Hoops down in 13th place in the Championship, now four points adrift of the play-off places.

Nine defeats already this season is worse than any side in the top half of the table, so results against Charlton, Reading, Hull and Cardiff are now crucial over the festive period.

Derby County's disappointing first half of the season continues, with the Rams without a win in five and down in 16th place in the Championship already nine points off the play-off places.

But with Reading, Wigan, Charlton and Barnsley over the Xmas period, Cocu will be hoping for maximum points to push his side back up the table.
