Despite just under a quarter of the season having passed, already owners are looking at their managers closely, especially if their sides have endured a tough start to the campaign.

Here we look at the three EFL managers who could be fearing for their job at this very moment in time.....

Despite a win last time out, Stoke City remain rooted to the bottom of the Championship, three points from safety, with only five points to show for their 11 league matches to far this season.

The pressure is mounting on manager Nathan Jones to turn things around quickly and the 46-year-old will be looking for back-to-back wins when the Potters entertain Fulham this coming weekend.

MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale is under huge pressure with his side down in 19th place in League One and on a run of six straight defeats in the league.

The poor start to this campaign comes on the back of a promotion winning season that that saw the Dons go up in third place, in what was Tisdale's first season in charge at the club.

After winning the EFL Trophy last season and making it to the League One play-offs, Portsmouth fans could be forgiven for thinking that their side would be in good shape heading into the 2019-20 season under manager Kenny Jackett.

The reality though has been very different with Pompey currently 16th in League One, already 14 points adrift of early season pace-setters Ipswich Town, heaping the pressure on Jackett to turn things around.
