Leeds United have recently been linked with a move for Hull City's Jarrod Bowen heading into the January transfer window according to 90min.

Bowen has been in impressive form so far this term, and already has 14 league goals to his name for Grant McCann's side, who currently sit 12th in the Championship table.

His good run of form so far this season doesn't seem to have gone unnoticed though, with Leeds one of the clubs interested in landing his signature in the New Year.

Newcastle and AFC Bournemouth are also believed to be interested in signing Bowen, in what is likely to be a fiercely competitive battle to come to an agreement with Hull for the attacking midfielder.

Leeds could be a tempting proposition for the Hull star, with Marcelo Bielsa's side currently sat second in the Championship table, and looking well on course to achieve a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League this term.

We take a look at THREE alternatives Leeds should be targeting in the January transfer window instead of Bowen.

Ollie Watkins

Watkins has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for Brentford this season, as he looks to fill the sizeable void left by Neal Maupay earlier in the summer.

The 23-year-old has 12 goals to his name so far this season, and will be key to the Bees' bid for an unlikely promotion.

He's been deployed as a makeshift striker by Thomas Frank, but previously played as a winger where his pace and trickery made him a nightmare to come up against for opposition defenders.

He could be tempted by a move to Elland Road in the future, with Leeds having a better chance of winning promotion into the top-flight.

Bradley Dack

Dack's record speaks for itself, and without him, you have to imagine that Blackburn would have been in a relegation battle in the last couple of seasons.

He has nine goals to his name so far this season, and will be looking to add to that tally as the season heads into the festive period.

Dack has previously been linked with a move to Aston Villa, and it seems as though it's only going to be a matter of time before he leaves Blackburn in search of Premier League football.

Leeds could potentially offer him that in the future, as they're challenging for promotion this term under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

Daniel Johnson

Johnson has been key to Preston's somewhat surprising promotion charge this season, with North End currently sat () in the Championship table.

The midfielder has eight goals and five assists to his name, and his potential arrival would allow Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison to continue playing out wide.

It's likely that he'd cost quite a lot though, which could tempt Bielsa to look into exploring other options in January.
