With a number of high-profile clubs on high alert, it seems almost inevitable that Daniel James will leave Swansea City in the summer.

The 21-year old has become a standout performer for the Swans, scoring three goals and producing five assists this season, and it comes as no surprise to see a number of top-flight teams declare an interest in him.

The winger, whose move to Leeds United in January was stopped in the closing stages of the window, is currently attracting interest from the likes of Manchester City, AFC Bournemouth and Southampton.

It will be hard for Graham Potter to keep hold of his star-man - James is currently impressing on the international stage for Wales, and if a bid from the likes of City do come in for the winger in the summer, it'll be hard for both the club and the player to turn down.

With that being said, here we take a look at three replacements should be considering ahead of the summer...

Ronan Curtis

Curtis is currently lighting up League One for Portsmouth, and is fully deserving of a step-up to the Championship if Pompey don't go up this season.

The 22-year old has scored 11 goals and produced eight assists for Kenny Jackett's men this term, and is able to play either out wide or behind the striker, making him a perfect option for Potter.

Kadeem Harris

A swoop on their local rivals for Harris could be an inspired move by Potter.

The 25-year old has made just three league starts for Cardiff City this term, and is facing an uncertain future at the club with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.

Leeds and Aston Villa were linked with the winger earlier on in the season, and he would be an excellent replacement for the Swans.

Gavin Massey

Massey is another player whose future is uncertain beyond this season,

Nottingham Forest and QPR have been linked with a move to sign the winger, who could be available on a free transfer at the end of the season with his future at Wigan Athletic up in arms.

He would provide real pace and flair down the flank and could be a bargain of a signing.
