Norwich City fans will be pleasantly surprised with the club's start to the season, with the Canaries currently sitting 4th in the table, and just two points behind league-leaders Middlesbrough.

They moved up the table in midweek as they saw off promotion-chasing rivals Aston Villa to close the gap at the top of the table in a closely fought battle in the Championship so far this season.

Their good run of form has largely been down to the goals of their strikers who have been in good form this season.

Summer signing Teemu Pukki already has six goals to his name in his first season in English football, whilst Rhodes has netted seven times in this year's campaign.

They will be looking to continue their excellent run of form with a win against Brentford this weekend in what will be a tough test for Daniel Farke's side.

But what gambles has Farke taken that have paid off this season?

Find out here....

Rhodes and Pukki may have 13 goals in all competitions between them, but they often don't partner each other up-front.

Rhodes has made just eight starts this season, whilst Pukki has made 12 starts for the Canaries.

But Farke has shown that he has kept both strikers happy and hungry for goals this season and will be hoping to see the pair in good form as the season progresses.

Farke has given younger players a chance this season, which has evidently paid off as there are a number of youngsters featuring for his side this season.

Defensive duo Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis both came through the Norwich youth sides and have gone on to be regulars in the Norwich first team this season.

Todd Cantwell is another youngster that has made a number of starts in a breakthrough season for the Canaries under Daniel Farke's management.

Farke has tried to keep a consistent side this season to build momentum which is showing with his side flying high in the Championship table.

He has kept the same defensive four in his last eight league matches so it's clear to see who his first choice defenders are this season.
