Sheffield United have been outstanding in the Championship this season, with Chris Wilder's side firmly in the race for automatic promotion.

A key reason to that was the summer capture of Dean Henderson from Manchester United on loan.

The England U21 keeper has been superb for the Blades and has made some vital contributions that have helped the team.

Therefore, it perhaps wasn't too surprising to Bramall Lane regulars that he has been linked with some big moves ahead of next season.

ESPN claim that Tottenham, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus are among the clubs monitoring the 21-year-old, who still has two years to run on a deal at Old Trafford.

Clearly, he isn't going to play for the Red Devils with David De Gea around, so a move once again seems inevitable, even if it's on loan.

And, here we look at THREE reasons why he would benefit more from going back to Sheffield United instead of those interested clubs...

He will get first-team football

At this stage of Henderson's career, he needs to be playing regularly to help his development and no matter how good you think he is, he won't get in at those clubs mentioned.

Sure, working with top keepers every day would be good but nothing beats playing each week and he knows he can get that with the Yorkshire club.

He isn't ready for those clubs yet

Not only do you have to be a superb technical keeper to play for the elite, but you also need a strong mentality.

That's crucial for keepers and Henderson needs to experience a lot more before he can be thrown into such a demanding environment.

Of course, there is always an expectancy at Sheffield United but it doesn't compare to the spotlight he would be under if he went to a Juve or Spurs.

He knows the Blades

Following on from that, Henderson knows he is appreciated at Sheffield United.

The manager clearly rates him and has got him playing well and the fans do too.

Moving clubs doesn't always work out, so if you've got a good thing going then it may be worth continuing with.
