One of the hottest prospects in Chelsea’s extensive youth set up is Tammy Abraham.
The London-born striker has rose through the ranks at Chelsea, joining the club as an Under 8. He predominantly played out wide and still can to this day but he is most effective up top.
In his breakthrough season as a scholar, Abraham scored 32 goals in 26 appearances which got him on Avi Viveash’s radar as Under-21 manager.
In February, he made his debut for the Under 21 outfit, scoring a brace and has gone from strength to strength.
He is one of the most prolific scorers in youth football, as he has scored 46 goals in 42 appearances since breaking through.
This has also been replicated on the International stage for England’s Under 19′ where he has picked up a number of goals, and will be looking to progress to Under 21 level.
Tammy Abraham would be the ideal understudy of Assombalonga and a real asset for Dougie Freedman.
