This season is promising a lot for Wolves fans this season with some wealthy owners in the boardroom and a talented squad on the pitch.

Wolves showed great ambition in the recent transfer window, they still pulled off some excellent signings like Ivan Cavaleiro and Prince Oniangue, whilst loaning in Benfica duo Helder Costa and Joao Teixeira.

Key defensive talent was also added in the shape of promising Manchester United youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, and former Wolves player Richard Stearman came in from Fulham.

Despite this excellent transfer activity, Wolves have had an inconsistent start to the season losing 2 of their last 3 games.

They began well with wins over Reading and Birmingham and went 4 games undefeated, but have lost to Huddersfield before conceding a late equaliser against Burton.

They suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Barnsley on Tuesday night, with them crumbling in the latter stages of the game, conceding all 4 goals in a 20 minute spell.

Fans are angry at the lack of fight shown and fans may want things to change tactically, so here are THREE things Walter Zenga could do to turn things around....

Stop squad rotation

Maybe not stop it full stop but it's hard to integrate new signings into a team when you don't give them time to gel and Zenga seems happy to rotate the squad every match.

Tuesday night seems good proof of that with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson dropped despite being the best player on the pitch during Saturday's draw with Burton.

Clearly the defensive changes didn't work as they leaked 4 goals and fans were annoyed by Zenga's inability to stick with a team.

Also the signing of Richard Stearman doesn't seem to be working out and he was at fault for a few of the Barnsley goals yesterday, and it may be wiser to play Kortney Hause there in partnership with Danny Batth.

The fact is you can't change half your team every week and expect to succeed, you must stick with your best 11.

Start using big name signings

One thing that seems to be baffling the fans is the reluctance of Zenga to use the summer signings Wolves brought in.

Ivan Cavalerio was brought in from Monaco but hasn't played regularly to the confusion of fans, especially with Cavaleiro playing for top clubs like Benfica and Monaco.

He will take time to adapt to the English game but his pace and skill will be a big asset to Wolves.

Also the omittance of Romain Saiss has frustrated fans as well with the defensive midfielder impressing for Angers last season.

Also young creative players like Helder Costa and Joao Teixeria are finding chances limited even if they have the potential to star in this league.

The defence

Overall the front-line looks good for Wolves with Joe Mason and Jon Bodvarsson making good starts and with Nouha Dicko likely to return soon, the goals should start flowing.

But they could suffer the same as Fulham did last season due to having a shaky defence and it seems worrying at the moment.

Zenga doesn't know his best back four as Tuesday night showed and Wolves fans were critical of the performances of Danny Batth and Richard Stearman.

Also left back Dominic Iorfa has been disappointing with his attacking drive not as lethal as it once was.
