Middlesbrough welcome Blackburn Rovers to the Riverside Stadium this weekend.

The Teessiders have enjoyed a decent run of form in the last month, but last week's draw with Birmingham City was a result which took their current run to four without a win.

That 1-1 draw with the Blues was a decent result in isolation, but the hope will now be to get back to winning ways.

After a difficult start to life in the hotseat, Woodgate has really found his feet and looks to be leading the team into an exciting period of change.

A number of young players have been handed a chance under the Middlesbrough favourite, and while injuries have played a part in that, those prospects will be hoping that the Boro boss doesn't look to rotate them out of the team for the clash with the Blues.

But who is available and who is likely to start against Tony Mowbray's side? Let's take a look at the options.

Jonathan Woodgate is expected to make minimal changes to his side following a 10-day break after the Birmingham City fixture.

Aynsley Pears has established himself as the club's number one goalkeeper following Darren Randolph's departure and he's likely to keep his place.

Dael Fry should be fit to return after hobbling off against the Blues and could line up alongside Jonny Howson and Paddy McNair in central defence.

George Friend and Ryan Shotton are back in full training but won't make a full return for another couple of weeks.

Can you remember these former Middlesbrough strikers? Let's find out!

Djed Spence and Hayden Coulson have been a revelation down the wings in recent weeks and after a short break the duo should be back to their best for the visit of Blackburn Rovers.

In midfield, Lewis Wing, Marcus Tavernier and George Saville are expected to continue, while Adam Clayton may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Middlesbrough could be boosted by the return of Britt Assombalonga in attack.

The striker has been out of action for a while, but could link up with Ashley Fletcher once again following the injury picked up by Patrick Roberts.

That would leave Lukas Nmecha and Rudy Gestede with a place on the bench.
