Burnley forward Matej Vydra is attracting interest from "several" Championship clubs this summer, a source close to the Premier League side has exclusively confirmed to Football League World.

The 27-year-old made the move to Turf Moor in the summer of 2018, signing for a reported fee of £11million from Derby County after a hugely impressive season with the Rams.

The Czech Republic forward finished the 2017/18 campaign as the Championship's top goalscorer, scoring 21 league goals in 40 appearances for the East Midlands side.

But his move to Burnley hasn't gone as well as expected thus far, with the attacker making just three league starts, and finding the net twice in a total of 17 appearances.

Now, a source close to the Lancashire club has confirmed that "several" Championship sides are eyeing up a loan move for Vydra, who still has two years left on his contract with Sean Dyche's side.

Here, we take a look at three clubs who should be looking to sign Vydra on a loan deal this summer...

West Brom

As Slaven Bilic begins to stamp his authority on West Brom this summer, one area of the pitch that he simply must look to strengthen is up top.

The Baggies will be without 24-goal forward Dwight Gayle next season, with the club being unable to sign the Newcastle United forward permanently due to his wage demands.

Another prolific forward has also left the club, with Jay Rodriguez recently signing for Burnley for a reported fee of £10million, after scoring 22 goals last season.

Rodriguez's arrival at Turf Moor only pushes Vydra further down the pecking order though, and the Baggies should definitely look to go in for the proven striker this summer.

They could definitely afford him too, especially if Salomon Rondon seals a move to China as reported by the Express and Star.

Nottingham Forest

This move wouldn't be popular with too many Derby fans to say the least, but there is no reason why Forest shouldn't go in for Vydra this summer.

New Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has wasted no time in reshaping his squad ahead of the new season, with Hillal Soudani, Apostolos Vellios and Karim Ansarifard all departing the City Ground.

The Nottingham Post also claims that Lamouchi has told four players to find new clubs this summer, one of those players being Daryl Murphy, so it's looking like a new forward is on the Tunisian's transfer radar.

Lewis Grabban thrives on competition, and bringing in a proven forward like Vydra would be a huge statement of intent.

Leeds

Both Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe hit double figures in the goalscoring charts last season, but you still feel that the Whites could do with another attacker on their books ahead of next season.

Bamford and Roofe both endured lengthy spells on the sidelines with injury last year, which meant that Tyler Roberts had to step up in their absence.

With Roberts establishing himself as an attacking midfielder last season though, Leeds don't really have much backup to Roofe and Bamford, and they cannot afford to rely on the likes of Ryan Edmondson if they are fighting for promotion again next season.

The Whites were linked with Vydra before his move to Burnley last summer, but a loan move could be a perfect way of acquiring his services this time around.
