Swansea City are hoping to mount a play-off challenge under Russell Martin this season and their away win at Coventry City earlier this week will have boosted hopes among supporters.

Indeed, the travelling faithful will have loved what they saw earlier this week at the CBS Arena and a few celebrity faces would have been pleased with what they saw as well from their club.

That said, we're taking a look at some of the most famous faces that can be credited as Swansea City fans - how many of these did you know about?

Catherine Zeta-Jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones is perhaps one of Swansea's most recognisable faces with the film star and actress growing up in the Welsh city.

She has supported her local club from a young age and keeps track of their progress and results from afar in the United States.

She woke up early to watch the Swans' League Cup win over Bradford City and also bought inflatable swans to celebrate the club's early-season victory over Manchester United in August 2015.

Brett Johns

UFC fighter Brett Johns is a season ticket holder with the club and his support for the Welsh side cannot be denied.

When he's not in the Octagon or training for a fight he can often be spotted watching his beloved club, decked out in Swansea attire.

He's struck up friendships with players, too, having been spotted in the crowd with former stars Oliver McBurnie and Joe Rodon in the past.

Michael Sheen

Another film star completes our list.

Michael Sheen is a proud Welshman and a proud Swansea City fan to boot.

He became a Swansea City fan as a kid and was offered a trial with Arsenal as a youngster, underlining the talent he had as a footballer before going on to become an actor.

He's supported the Swansea City Community Trust regularly and has attended their annual celebration event on several occasions.
