Cardiff City have had an awful start to this season's campaign and currently find themselves sitting in 23rd place in the Sky Bet Championship table, after picking up just two wins from the opening eleven league games.

Manager Paul Trollope has been coming under increasing pressure in recent weeks and will be desperate for a quick upturn in form, to allow his side to start climbing up the table and away from the dreaded relegation zone.

Their last result saw them slump to a 2-0 defeat away at newly promoted Burton Albion.

This article is going to take a look at THREE players who look out of their depth.....

Lex Immers

Dutchman Lex Immers was very impressive for the club during a loan spell last season which saw him scored 5 goals in 15 appearances, but it has been a very different story for 30-year-old so far this campaign as he has failed to score a single goal or contribute any assists in his 10 league appearances.

Immers is a versatile player who is comfortable in several positions, be it out wide, up front or behind the main striker.

But, his failure to be as effective as he was in his loan spell last year has led to calls from the fans to prove his worth to the club by a quick upturn in form to help the club climb out of the relegation places, where they currently sit going into the second international break of the season.

The 30-year-old will be keen to impress for The Bluebirds in the coming weeks and get back to the form he initially displayed during last year's loan spell.

Ben Amos

Ben Amos looks to be set for a long hard relegation slog yet again this season after he suffered the same as Bolton Wanderers number one Goalkeeper last year.

The former Manchester United trainee has struggled during the early stages, and has been limited to just four appearances so far this term.

His performances have led to many questioning whether he was what it takes to perform consistently at Championship level, or whether his future lies at the level below.

Although, many will also argue a case for the former Molde and Hull City man being that the defence on a whole has desperately struggled this season which has left Amos isolated and not at fault directly for a number of the goals he has conceded.

The former England under-21 international has undoubted quality and will be keen to prove to everyone he has what it takes.

Kenneth Zohore

Frontman Kenneth Zohore initially signed for The Bluebirds last season on a loan deal from Belgian side K.V Kortrijk, throughout that brief loan spell he went onto make 12 appearances for the club, netting 2 goals in the process.

This led to the club snapping him up on a permanent deal in the summer of 2016, when Zohore penned a three year deal with the Welsh club.

Although, things have been difficult in the early stages of his Championship career and the initial signs are that Zohore is out of his depth in the Sky Bet Championship.

Cardiff as a whole have been struggling this season and currently find themselves sitting in 23rd place.

Many may argue that the youngman is still adapting to life in England and a new style of play with The Bluebirds, and due to the fact he does appear to possess all the physical attributes required to make him a success in England, they may be inclined to give him extra time to prove his worth to the club.
