Luton Town welcome Brentford to Kenilworth Road this evening knowing that they will have to produce a far better performance than they did in the reverse fixture if they're going to take anything from the game.

The Bees hammered them 7-0 at Griffin Park in November but Graeme Jones' side may feel that on the back of two wins in their last three games, they can take something from tonight's meeting.

It looks set to be a tough test for the Hatters, as Brentford have conceded the fewest goals in the Championship this season and are unbeaten in their last five games.

They are, however, winless in their last three, which suggests that it may be a good time to face Thomas Frank's side.

With that in mind, here are three weaknesses that Luton must look to exploit this evening...

David Raya's recent shaky performances

The Bees may have only conceded 29 goals in the Championship this season, 40 less than Luton, but their goalkeeper has not been entirely convincing in the last few weeks.

He's been far from impressive since his costly mistake against Leeds United. Luton will want to ensure they make this evening as difficult as possible for Raya because the Spaniard might just hand them an opportunity for a result.

That will surely mean lots of crowding him at corners, lots of balls into the box, and pressure when the ball is at his feet.

Their recent poor starts to games

The Bees have fallen behind due to poor starts in their last two games, with Lukas Jutkiewicz putting Birmingham City ahead after just 13 minutes and Adam Armstrong finding an opener for Blackburn Rovers after just 11 minutes.

In both games, Frank's side have fought back to secure a point, however, it certainly seems that you can get at the West London side early on in matches.

After their hammering at Griffin Park, the last thing Luton need is to concede early. If the Hatters can get an early goal and unsettle the Bees, they may have some success.

Their lack of physicality in midfield

Luton have seen first hand just how destructive Brentford's midfield can be as Josh Dasilva scored a hat-trick and Mathias Jensen also found the net in the 7-0 defeat.

Brentford's midfield three do lack some physicality, however, which is a weakness that Luton should look to exploit.

With Jensen out it will likely be Christian Norgaard alongside Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste, both of whom are lightweight players.

Turning the game into a physical midfield battle could be key to ensuring Luton can get something from the game.
