Brad Potts completed a move to Preston North End on Thursday evening, putting an end to a considerable amount of speculation about his future at Barnsley.

The move was confirmed on Barnsley's official website and many supporters will be left hugely frustrated at the club's decision to sell their star man.

Potts had been hugely impressive for the Tykes and already has six league goals and five assists to his name.

Barnsley are currently sat fourth in the League One table and Potts' excellent run of form is one of the main reasons as to why Daniel Stendel's side are challenging for an immediate return to the Championship.

The Barnsley boss will have to dip into the transfer market to find a suitable replacement for the 24-year-old if they are to have any chance of gaining promotion this season.

But who could Stendel be targeting as Potts' replacement now that he has departed Oakwell?

Find out here....

O'Hare is a talented player who needs a loan away from Aston Villa to kick-start his career.

He might not be an identical type of player to Potts, but he'd certainly mean he wasn't missed.

This is maybe even a signing that Barnsley should be looking to complete anyway.

The youngster arrived at Swansea from Liverpool in the summer after his contract expired at Liverpool and he made the perfect start to life in Wales.

Dhanda netted the winner against Sheffield United on the opening day of the season, but has only gone on to feature twice more for the Swans in the Championship.

He has a point to prove in first-team football and a move to Barnsley could be the perfect move for him this month, as he looks to make a name for himself.

Healey has been hugely impressive for MK Dons this season as they continue their strong start to the season in League Two.

The Welshman can play either up-front or at left-wing and would be an excellent signing for the Tykes.

He has eight league goals to his name in this year's campaign and certainly deserves a move to a more reputable team.
