Bolton Wanderers are in real trouble at the foot of the Championship table.

They've plummeted after a decent opening few games and look likely to be playing League One football next season.

There's a fair way to go yet, but the general discord around the club is not nice to see. The chairman's recent spat with Forest Green Rovers has left everyone involved looking a little silly, with nobody coming out of it well.

The transfer window is an ideal time to inject life and soul into an ailing club, but there's no funds at the University of Bolton Stadium to spend on new players. Instead they face an uncertain start to 2019 and a long fight against the drop.

They might even be facing an exodus of players, with uncertainty over the club's future. Some might be first team regulars, others wanting a chance to show what they can do rather than languishing in the reserves.

Here's three players we think should push for a Bolton exit this January.

Erhun Oztumer

The 27-year-old only joined in the summer from Walsall, but his chances have been limited and his dream move has turned into a bit of a nightmare.

He needs to be playing with confidence, but instead he's hardly playing at all. it might be wise to push for a loan move to showcase his talents once more.

Mark Beevers

It's time to desert the sinking ship and Beevers might already be regretting not making the summer move to Rangers.

It's not nice to see what's happening at Bolton, but perhaps for the good of his career, Beevers should get out while he can.

Mark Little

30-year old Little is surely someone who needs to get away from the Trotters to revive his flagging career.

He's played twice this season, only once in the league and if he's going to end his career on a high, he needs regular matches.
