Sheffield United have been flying in the Sky Bet Championship this season, with Chris Wilder’s side adapting to life back in the second-tier magnificently.

Earlier in the season, the Blades were topping the Championship table and have remained in contention for the top-six since then, with the likes of Billy Sharp and Leon Clarke magnificent in attack and proving plenty of their doubters wrong.

There have been good contributions across Wilder’s entire playing squad, and for a first season back in the Championship, the Blades can be pleased with their work - even if they miss out on the top-six.

However, Wilder will know that his side can’t afford to sit still in the summer, they need to build and improve their playing squad once again.

With that in mind, we look ahead to the summer and identify THREE decisions Wilder will make that could potentially define Sheffield United’s 2018/19 campaign…

Brooks has had a magnificent breakthrough season at Bramall Lane, and is sure to attract interest in the summer transfer window from the Premier League.

Big money could go down for the Welsh international, and if it does, Wilder needs to decide whether to cash-in or stand firm.

The Blades won’t want to lose the talented forward, but the money might be too good to turn down.

Clarke has been terrific this season in attack, spearheading Sheffield United’s play-off push.

However, next year it will be a tough ask for the striker to repeat his goalscoring success.

Wilder might need to unsettle Clarke with a high-profile striking addition.

3-5-2 has worked for the Blades in the Championship and in League One, but Wilder will need to assess his squad again in the summer and decide if it is the system to take them forwards.

Plenty of others have switched to a similar system and had success, but Wilder might find himself looking for another formation and different tactics to improve his squad.
