Cardiff City are having a magnificent year in the Sky Bet Championship, with a Premier League return a real possibility for the Bluebirds.

Neil Warnock’s side weren’t given much hope of delivering a promotion push in the summer, but the experienced Championship boss has delivered and is on the verge of guiding another club into the top-flight.

There is still a chance that Cardiff’s push for automatic promotion could collapse, but even then, they will still have the cushion of the play-offs to fall back on as a second bite of the cherry.

Promotion will be all that is on Warnock’s mind between now and the end of the season, but when the summer comes around, there will be some big decisions for Warnock to make at Cardiff.

With that in mind, we look ahead to the summer and identify THREE Warnock decisions that could define Cardiff’s 2018/19 campaign…

Warnock is 69 and will turn 70 in December, with the Cardiff boss certainly entering the end of an impressive career in management.

Cardiff don’t need Warnock walking out on them midway through next season if things aren’t going well, particularly if they are in the Premier League.

The 69-year-old needs to decide whether he is prepared to give another year to the Bluebirds.

Presuming Warnock is happy to stay, there is a big summer of recruitment on the horizon at Cardiff.

If the Bluebirds are a Premier League outfit, there will be the temptation to spend big and bring in some high-profile players.

On the other hand, Warnock could stick with the group that have put Cardiff in a glorious position and only slightly tinker with his hand.

Few can argue with what Warnock has done to Zohore, with the striker looking a completely different player under the 69-year-old.

However, can Zohore cut it in the Premier League if Cardiff get there?

Warnock needs to decide if the 24-year-old can score the goals to help Cardiff move forwards again next season, or if he has to find an alternative.
