Blackpool are a side who have been ridden with troubles over the last few seasons, with fans vehemently protesting the Oyston ownership.

But after a couple seasons of stability in League One, it may be time for the Tangerines to start building towards winning another promotion.

Last season they finished in the definition of mid-table.

12th out of 24 teams. Manager Gary Bowyer will have identified key areas to build on over the next few weeks of the transfer window.

He has not hung around either.

So far, Blackpool have brought in seven new men in an array of positions, pointing to their eagerness to push up the table.

But there is still undoubtedly a lot of work to be done if Blackpool are to transform into a promotion winning side.

Here are three players that could send Blackpool on their way to the Championship.

With only two centre-backs at the club Fleetwood Town's Ashley Eastham is someone who could add some real solidity to the Blackpool backline.

Tempting a first choice defender from their local rivals won't be easy but could prove to be well worth it.

An industrious midfielder is something else that was lacking at Blackpool last season, and Exeter's Hiram Boateng could be just the man.

The Ghanaian shone during Exeter's play-off campaign, scoring a stunning goal against Lincoln City in the semi-final. He could be the man to fire the Seasiders back up the League One table.

Finally, someone to put the ball in the net could soon be important with Kyle Vassell's contract running out and that man could be Accrington Stanley's Kayden Jackson.

The 24-year-old found the net 14 times in League Two last season and would thrive off being the main man at Bloomfield Road. A goalscorer is necessary in any promotion push.
