It's been a turbulent and disappointing season at Ewood Park, with Blackburn Rovers sat in 15th place in the table and just four points ahead of 21st place Fulham.

The fans expected a lot more from their side pre-season, with some decent players on their roster.

However, it just hasn't happened for them, and wholesale changes are expected at the club, with the Venky owners again growing impatient.

Manager Paul Lambert will be one of them, and just how many of his player's will be joining him is as yet unknown.

Ben Marshall is also believed to be amongst them, with teams such as Fulham believed to be in the race for his signature. The club is likely to decide to let him go before he can leave on a free next summer.

With that and the sale of Jordan Rhodes and Marcus Olsson to Sky Bet Championship rivals in January, Rovers are in danger of becoming a selling club. They will want to keep a hold of their best players this summer, in order to buck that trend.

So, in the opinion of FLW's Ryan Evans, here are THREE Blackburn players that could follow Marshall out of the exit door......

Shane Duffy

The 22-year old is having the time of his life right now, with seven man of the match awards this season as may at Ewood Park are in agreement that the young man is their player of the season.

He has led his side to conceding just 45 goals this season - only the top six and Preston have done better this season. The former Everton youngster got his first major break with Somerset-based Yeovil Town, and moved to Lancashire in 2014. Since then, he hasn't looked back.

There is no doubt about this guy's talent, with Hull, West Brom and Crystal Palace believed to be interested in a summer move for the centre-back.

Can Duffy be persuaded to help Rovers go for promotion next season?

Grant Hanley

The other half of what has been a sensational centre-back partnership, Hanley has definitely played his part in their record. On whoscored.com's list of ratings for Blackburn players, Hanley comes second, only to Duffy.

After coming through the ranks at Ewood Park, the 21-time Scottish international has more than 180 appearances at the club, and was appointed captain following Scott Dann's departure in 2014.

However, two years later, Hanley could well be leaving the club too. Rangers boss Mark Warburton has signaled that he would like to sign the centre-back, meaning the next manager at Blackburn may have to rebuild probably the most crucial position on the field from scratch.

That would be devastating for the club, and they would probably be able to kiss goodbye any ambitions of a top six finish should both Hanley and Duffy leave. But is that likely to happen? Only time will tell.

Connor Mahoney

Possibly one of the next great talents, Mahoney signed from Accrington Stanley in 2013, joined up with the Blackburn development squad and almost immediately was promoted to the first team.

However, this season he has played in just two games, draws against Nottingham Forest and Bristol City. The right-sided midfielder's long-term future may well be in Lancashire, but a loan to the third or fourth tier would do no harm in accelerating his career.

One things is for certain, and that is Mahoney won't want to be sitting on the bench or in the reserves next season, as there is nothing like playing in the lower leagues of English football. However, with all these changes at Ewood Park this summer, he may well be forgotten about.

Blackburn fans, what do you think? Are there any others you want to leave or are fearful that they might? Who would you want in to replace them? Let us know below!
