Ipswich Town have retained an interest in Bersant Celina following his productive 2021/22 loan spell at Portman Road.

The Manchester City academy graduate, who also shone with the Tractor Boys in a loan spell during the 2017/18 campaign, currently has two years left on his Dijon contract.

Ipswich now face competition from the higher division, with Stoke City emerging as an interested party ahead of the new season.

Here, we take a look at three Celina alternatives Ipswich should consider as the Championship outfit complicate things for the Suffolk club...

Elliot Anderson

A player that is likely to be on most radars this summer, Elliot Anderson is an exciting talent who would be an excellent loan addition in League One.

Gaining admirers in the higher division, Newcastle United are seeking a temporary destination where regular football can be afforded to him.

That could pave the way for a club in League One to strike a deal with the Magpies, who are excited by the progression of the teenager.

Dion Pereira

It remains to be seen what Luton are planning to do with Dion Pereira this summer, with the exciting winger looking a level above during a loan with Bradford City last time out.

Getting plenty of chances in and around the first-team set up during pre-season, he could be deemed as an option for the Hatters next season.

However, if the ambitious Championship club view another loan move as the next best step, then Ipswich would be an ideal destination.

Mallik Wilks

Mallik Wilks' future at Hull City is an uncertain one, with Sheffield Wednesday seeing a bid rejected for the 23-year-old.

Acun Ilicali's takeover of the Tigers has widened the scope when it comes to the transfer window for the second-tier outfit, potentially paving the way for Wilks' exit.

The young winger, who can also play as a number 10 or as a striker tore League One apart during Hull's recent promotion-winning season and would be a top permanent addition this summer.
