After what has been a turbulent time at Stoke City for Saido Berahino since his move from West Bromwich Albion, the club look to have run out of patience with the striker according to recent reports.

The 25-year old was scheduled to play for the club's under-23 side against Manchester United on Monday night, but was arrested in the early hours of the morning on suspicion of drink-driving.

The forward, who is believed to be earning around £80,000-a-week at the bet365 Stadium, is set to be fined two weeks' wages, with reports also claiming that Stoke will look to sell him in the summer.

Berahino has endured a bitterly disappointing time during his stay at the Staffordshire club - he arrived from West Brom with high expectations, after signing for a fee of £12million in 2017.

But having scored just five goals in over 50 games for the Potters, Nathan Jones will now be looking for potential replacements for Berahino...

Here, we take a look at three ideal replacements...

[snack_break title="Matej Vydra"]

One name who instantly springs to mind is Matej Vydra, whose summer move to Burnley hasn't worked out as he would have liked.

The 26-year old is a proven goalscorer at Championship level, having finished as the division's top goalscorer after scoring 22 goals in 44 games for Derby County last term.

But the Czech Republic forward, who signed for Burnley for a reported fee of £11million, has only made three league starts for Sean Dyche's men.

He is a proven Championship striker and Stoke could definitely afford him when Berahino is off the wage bill.

After failing to sign him on loan in January, the Potters should definitely look to go back in for Austin in the summer.

Another proven goalscorer in the Championship, the 29-year old has fallen out of favour at St. Mary's under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Having a player of his quality in the squad would be a massive coup for Stoke.

[snack_break title="James Collins"]

Although he is yet to prove himself in the Championship, one player who Jones will know like the back of hands is James Collins.

The 28-year old has been unstoppable for Jones' former club Luton Town this season, scoring 19 goals in 37 games for the Hatters in their promotion push from League One.

Jones knows how to get the best out of him, and even though it would be a somewhat risky signing, it could be a shrewd move by Stoke.
