Birmingham are struggling to stave off relegation, but David Davis has been a ray of light in a tough season.
The Blues are currently three points away from safety with new manager Garry Monk still waiting for his first points.
If Monk fails to keep them up, certain players could leave and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Davis among them because he is a
potential bargain.
Davis is a hard-working midfielder with his prime focus being to break up opposition attacks and ensure the ball gets to the creative players whether that's through driving up the pitch or simple passes. His all-round nature and impressive work-rate means he helps out all around the pitch which is why he has scored three goals and assisted three even though he is primarily a defensive midfielder.
Without him, Birmingham would have a much weaker spine and would likely to be a lot bigger trouble than they currently are. The fact that he has been one of the consistent performers in such a tough season shows how integral he is to the team.
Rangers have used the lower English leagues to pick out bargains in recent seasons. Davis has the potential to be another one in that regard because Rangers are starting to make second spot their own in Scotland.
Adding Davis would give them some added security in front of the defence while also having the composure on the ball to help break down some of the lower teams in the division with patient possession play in order to create an opening. He's unlikely to help them challenge Celtic, but he could be another building block as they aim to get back in a position to seriously challenge their local rivals.
