It has been something of a disappointing season so far for Sheffield United in League One, with the club failing to attain the same standard that they met last campaign.

After finishing fifth in the table in 2014-15 and being edged out by Swindon Town in the play-off semi-finals, the Blades are currently 11th in the division, five points and five positions off a place in the top six this time around.

However, in the next few weeks Nigel Adkins will have opportunities to add some quality to his side through the emergency loan window, the perfect chance for Football League clubs to bring in Premier League fringe players or youth products.

With Premier League title challengers Arsenal boasting both a a large seniro squad and one of the most renowned youth systems in the country, there are plenty of players in Arsene Wenger's squad who would surely be keen to move temporarily to secure regular first-team football.

With United no doubt hoping to launch a sustained play-off push in the final months of the season, we at FLW have looked at three Gunners players that Adkins should look to sign in the emergency window.......

Krystian Bielik

Krystian Bielik

Signed by Arsenal from Legia Warsaw in January 2015, Bielik has been tipped for a bright future by many at the club.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder has invoked memories of Patrick Vieira with his combative yet graceful style of play, and can also be an option at centre-back after regularly featuring in defence for the Gunners' youth side.

Bielik has made just one senior appearance for Arsenal since his arrival, in the League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in October, and would add both talent and versatility to Adkins' squad.

Daniel Crowley

Plucked from Aston Villa's academy at the age of 16, Crowley is another player who has been compared to a prestigious Arsenal talent, drawing comparisons with Jack Wilshere.

After spending three months on loan at Barnsley earlier in the season, then-Tykes manager Lee Johnson described the midfielder as the best 18-year-old he had ever seen.

The England Under-19 international has a swagger about his play and is tipped as the long-term future of Arsenal in either central midfield or the number 10 role. In the meantime, his development would surely benefit from regular senior football, and he would be a quality addition to any League One side.

Alex Iwobi

The 19-year-old nephew of former Bolton Wanderers favourite Jay-Jay Okocha has made eight appearances in four different competitions for the Gunners first-team this season, including featuring four times as a substitute in the Premier League.

Formerly an England youth international but now a full senior international for his native Nigeria, Arsene Wenger has suggested that England will live to regret letting the talented forward slip through their fingers.

Comfortable as a winger or number 10, Iwobi would add a new dimension to the Blades' attack and with his options in the Arsenal first team limited, he would benefit more from playing senior lower-league football than continuing in the Gunners' reserve side.
