Leeds United manager Garry Monk has been very clever in the transfer window so far and has brought some shrewd acquisitions to Elland Road.

Bringing in Robert Green on a free transfer after his release from London club Queens Park Rangers was a solid piece of business, and Swansea City pair Kyle Bartley and Matt Grimes have the potential to be key players this season.

20-year-old midfielder Billy Whitehouse was brought in from Doncaster Rovers, and the Whites won the race to bring in highly-rated winger Kemar Roofe for £3 million from Oxford United.

Marcus Antonsson arrives from Kalmar FF an unknown quantity, but could well be the man to lead the line this season, and Hadi Sacko and Pablo Hernandez bring pedigree and menace to the attacking line-up.

Monk's business is far from done though, and he will certainly look to bring in some new faces before the end of the window.

Here, FootballLeagueWorld writer Chris Strawson identifies THREE signings that would complete Garry Monk's Leeds United side...

Nahki Wells

The Bermudan striker could be the perfect fit for Leeds United.

Although the Whites have already brought in Marcus Antonsson from Sweden so far this window, Monk could well deploy a 4-4-2 system in their opening few league matches, and Wells could be the perfect partner for the Swede up top.

Lightning quick and a quality finisher, Wells knows how to find the net at Championship level, and could well become the next Andre Gray if given the chance alongside better players.

Chris Gunter

The Welsh right back splits opinions amongst Reading fans, but you cannot look past his performances at international level, especially with Wales at Euro 2016.

Gunter has a £1.1 million release clause written into his contract at the Madejski Stadium, and Leeds could easily match that deal should they choose.

They would face fierce competition from the likes of Celtic and Hull City, but if they could bring the former Cardiff City defender in, they would be doing their promotion chances no harm.

Daniel Johnson

The Preston North End playmaker is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated players in the Championship, and would be an amazing signing for Garry Monk's Leeds United side.

Quick, dynamic and good going forward, Johnson has all the hallmarks of the modern central midfielder, and at 23 years of age, he still has plenty of potential to fill.

Preston boss Simon Grayson is building his side around the youngster, so he will cost a hefty fee, but Leeds undoubtedly have the funds to carry out the deal.
