Leeds United dropped to second in the Championship after promotion rivals Norwich impressively won 3-1 at Elland Road on Saturday.

Many of Marcelo Bielsa's side struggled to find their best form on the night, with midfielder Adam Forshaw one who had a particularly tough night.

The ex-Middlesbrough man was inexplicably caught in possession by Emi Buendia, who was already on the floor, for the Canaries' crucial second goal.

As well as that, he struggled to get a control of the game, with Daniel Farke's midfield winning all the battles in the middle of the park.

Understandably, Forshaw came in for criticism from the fans afterwards and his display will have worried Bielsa.

Here we look at THREE potential upgrades the Argentinian may have his eye on in the summer...

Barry Bannan

The Sheffield Wednesday man would be ideal for this Leeds side as he is superb technically and would fit into the team with ease.

He has also shown his battling qualities this season and despite his size, he is competitive in the midfield.

Therefore, he would be a very good signing for the Whites and with the Owls struggling with FFP, they may have to consider a sale.

Ben Pearson

Alternatively, Bielsa could look for someone to add a bit more steel to his side and Pearson would be that man.

He is very aggressive in his play but is also decent on the ball, so he wouldn't get shown up in this possession-based team.

His discipline is a problem at times but he would ensure that Leeds wouldn't be seen as a soft touch.

Ronaldo Vieira

The former Leeds youngster left the club to join Sampdoria in the summer but the move hasn't really worked out.

Even though he is only 20-years-old, he will have hoped to have played more than five times in the league this season, with three of those as a sub.

A move back to Yorkshire may appeal and Vieira would certainly add a lot to the team with his energy and ability.
