The transfer window might be shut for a few months now, but there's no stopping the rumours with the Sun reporting Leeds are interested in Aaron Lennon.

The winger, of course, was a young player for the club quite some time ago now and has since gone on to play for the likes of Tottenham, Everton, England and now at Burnley.

However, the Whites are potentially keen to try and bring him back to Elland Road in a deal that would ring of nostalgia.

Considering his age, though, we're wondering whether, despite his quality, he would be the right signing for Leeds.

Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa has shown his preference for younger players, might that come into his mind before going ahead with Lennon?

Here, then, we're taking a closer look at three wingers that might well be better options for the Whites to consider out wide rather than Lennon.

Jamal Lowe

Lowe has been excellent this season for Portsmouth and you could see him moving on - especially if Pompey don't go up this year.

He's got pace and great composure in the final third plus room to grow.

Callum O'Dowda

O'Dowda has been excellent this season for Bristol City and he is firing them towards the top-flight right now.

He's got plenty of room to grow as well and under Bielsa you could see him kicking on - though the Robins will be desperate to get him.

Daniel James

Leeds fans are well aware who James is.

He nearly signed in January, of course, and it would be no surprise to see them go for him again in the summer.

He's a class young player and exactly what Leeds need so let's see if they remain interested...
