Sheffield Wednesday take on Barnsley this weekend in one of the two Yorkshire derbies taking place in the Championship in the coming days.

Whilst Leeds United are travelling to Sheffield United, the Owls and the Tykes are also going head-to-head with it being a game both need three points from.

Neither side is in good form at the moment with Barnsley having just two wins in 16 league games and the Owls surprisingly losing at home to Birmingham last weekend.

Certainly, though, the Owls are not being helped by the amount of players being missing in double figures at the moment and so Jos Luhukay has got no mean feat ahead of him in trying to put a side together.

We've also had a crack at it, too, and so, with that in mind, here's the strongest XI the Owls can field tomorrow afternoon as they look for a very important win...

Joe Wildsmith will continue in goal against the Tykes in place of Keiren Westwood.

Venancio is the most senior centre-half the Owls will be able to call on.

Thorniley featured last weekend and should get given another chance here.

Wednesday are going to have to use the kids so Connor O'Grady could get a call-up

Morgan Fox might have to stay back a bit more than usual in order to help out the young back line.

The same can be said for Palmer. The two wing backs will need to guide the young centre-halves

Reach is the best player in this side, it could take some inspiration from him to win it.

Pelupessy has not been with the Owls long but he needs to lead by example for this game.

Wallace is one of the more experienced heads and needs to put a real shift in for this one.

Joao gets another chance to play well, let's see if he can take it.

Wednesday won't have much of the ball, Nuhiu needs to hold it up as much as he can.
