Despite a six-match unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship, pressure is continuing to grow on Carlos Carvalhal at Sheffield Wednesday, who still sit a distance adrift of the top-six heading into December.

The Owls are unbeaten in their last six, but have drawn three consecutive fixtures – two of which have been goalless, including last weekend’s stalemate with Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the starting XI Carvalhal might select for this weekend’s meeting with Hull City, with it our belief that plenty of changes will be made from last weekend’s draw with Reading.

Keiren Westwood should be expected to continue in goal, with the goalkeeper behind a back-four including Morgan Fox, Joost van Aken, Glenn Loovens and Jack Hunt, with the latter returning to replace Liam Palmer at right-back.

Across midfield, Carvalhal opted for Kieran Lee on the right last week, and we are expecting a similar tactic this weekend against Hull, with Adam Reach, Barry Bannan and Jacob Butterfield completing a four.

In attack we are expecting Carvalhal to ditch last weekend’s experiment of Steven Fletcher and Lucas Joao, with the Wednesday boss reintroducing Jordan Rhodes and £3.15m-rated Gary Hooper as his strikeforce.
