Middlesbrough continue their play-off challenge knowing that they are arguably the strongest side going for that sixth place.

Really, Boro should have been up near the top two this season given their resources and the players that they have, too, but thanks to an inconsistent start to the campaign they will have to settle for a play-off spot.

Looking at the sides behind them, though, they are surely the favourites to achieve just that and it is up to them to ensure they do not fall short in that regard.

Whatever happens, though, Tony Pulis is surely going to be a busy man in terms of signing players in the summer window whilst he's surely going to let a fair few go too.

Let's take a look, then, at three players he will more than likely be willing to let leave...

Marvin Johnson has had it tough at Boro this season.

Signed from Oxford United in the summer last year, it looked as though this was his next big step forward after impressing for the U's.

However, he has struggled to nail a place down in the side and Pulis evidently doesn't rate him so we're surely going to see him moving on.

£3.15m-rated Ashley Fletcher is still a young player but he is surely racking up the clubs he has been at.

He's got good potential and is a decent forward but he needs confidence and to be at a club where he is going to play regularly.

That looks unlikely at Boro when you consider their forwards and so Pulis will surely be looking for a permanent deal for Fletcher in the next window.

Antonio Barragan is currently on loan at Real Betis and it'd be no surprise to see a permanent deal struck for the full-back to move away from Teesside in the summer.

He's certainly a decent player but he looks anything but a Pulis-type full back and that is probably what will see him leave the Riverside Stadium for good in the coming market.
