Striker Abel Hernandez is out of contract this summer after a four year spell at Hull City that saw him play in the top two divisions in England.

Despite an injury-hit last season, that restricted him to just ten appearances, he managed to hit eight goals, with the majority coming after his injury.

That should have persuaded any buying clubs that the Uruguay international is over his fitness issues and can still play at a good level.

And, Cardiff and Leeds are both thought to be interested in the striker and he would be a fine addition for both.

Firstly, the Yorkshire club are in desperate need of a striker and he would easily fit the bill. As our graphic shows, he averaged nearly a goal a game in the Championship last season and would expect to score over 20 in a full season.

Particularly as he would be playing in an attack-minded side led by Marcelo Bielsa and that might appeal to the player.

Alternatively, Cardiff's obvious advantage is that they can offer him Premier League football although he might not be a regular as Neil Warnock may play one up top, with Kenneth Zohore another choice.

Hernandez' physicality is what would appeal to Warnock, with the 27-year old capable of playing with his back to goal, bringing others into play and of course he is a good finisher.

Either way, wherever Hernandez ends up he is sure to make an impact providing he can stay fit and available for selection.
