Jazz Richards has been pictured in Swansea City training gear, with the defender posting a cryptic message via his Instagram page.

Richards is a free-agent and is currently on the lookout for a new club after leaving Cardiff City at the end of last season.

The 29-year-old made 13 appearances for the Bluebirds in all competitions last term - 11 in the Championship - but left upon the expiration of his contract.

Sheffield Wednesday and Salford City are among a host of sides to have been previously linked with Richards, but he is yet to put pen to paper with a new club as of yet.

But Richards has posted a picture onto his Instagram story of him wearing a Swansea City training top, before saying: "Rolling back the years - let's go!".

The Verdict

Richards was born in Swansea which could be an explanation for the message, but it remains to be seen whether he's just training with the club to build up fitness.

The "let's go" message, though, hints that he's closing in on a new club, and if Swansea have been having a look at him, then it would make sense for him to go there.

He is a versatile defender, and with the new 3-5-2 formation they are using, he could play out wide or as a right-sided centre-half, making him a potentially useful option for Steve Cooper's side.
