Charlton Athletic supporters are starting to see positive signs on the pitch, and many fans will be dreaming of a return to the Championship this season.

The Addicks are currently sat 4th in the League One table and Lee Bowyer is proving to be an excellent appointment.

They held promotion rivals, Sunderland to a 1-1 draw at the Valley recently, and will be hoping to build on that result going forward for the remainder of the season.

But Bowyer will be hoping that he can make additions to his squad to help aid their promotion bid this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether much funds will be given to the Charlton boss to spend, but he could have to rely on loan signings due to the limited funds.

If Bowyer’s potential signings can hit the ground running, then Charlton will certainly be in promotion contention by the end of the season- so it’s a make or break month for the Addicks.

But who should the Charlton boss be targeting a deal for this month?

Find out here…

The Aston Villa youngster is one of the brightest prospects to come out of the club in recent seasons at the supporters certainly have high hopes for Hepburn-Murphy.

He has already been linked with a move to The Valley and would certainly benefit from a loan move to find regular first-team football, which he currently isn’t getting at Aston Villa.

If he can find his feet early, then he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw in Charlton’s promotion bid this season.

The 29-year-old has only played a single minute of football for Nottingham Forest this season and will be keen for a move away from the City Ground in the near future.

Bridcutt has a point to prove after falling down the pecking order at Forest and a move to Charlton certainly shouldn’t be ruled out.

They could certainly benefit from having someone of Bridcutt’s experience in the midfield, and he could be an excellent but of business for Bowyer’s side.

The forward has been a rare bright spark in a disappointing season for Gillingham so far, and it’s clear to see why.

Eaves has 14 league goals to his name this season, and he is sure to be a man in demand this month.

Charlton will have to act quickly if they are to strike a deal for the forward.

It would be a gamble, but it could be a shrewd bit of business by Charlton if he can hit the ground running.
