West Bromwich Albion earned a point with a late equaliser at Nottingham Forest last night.

It was not the best performance from West Brom but they have registered their first point after a shock opening day loss at home to Bolton Wanderers.

Last night's game with Nottingham Forest was West Brom fans' first chance to see new signing Dwight Gayle in action.

Having only just arrived in a loan swap deal which saw Salomon Rondon head to Newcastle United, Gayle was given a bench role for this clash.

FLW shines a spotlight on his performance in numbers after a lively debut.

Gayle might not have scored but he certainly changed the game when he came on with just less than half an hour to play.

In his 29 minutes on the pitch, he completed six passes with a completion percentage of 83.3%, and he won a foul as well.

The 28-year-old had two shots and managed to hit the woodwork on two occasions, before and after the Baggies scored an equaliser.

In his last season in the Championship, Gayle netted 23 league goals to fire Newcastle to the title and win promotion back to the Premier League.

Judging by last night's display, Gayle is showing a lot of promise and a hunger to get into goal scoring positions and find the net.
