Leeds United transfer target Baghdad Bounedjah has recently come out and spoken about his future amid interest in the forward, reports French media outlet France Football.

The 27-year old has recently been linked with a move to Leeds and Marseille, having been on fire in the Qatar Stars League for Al Sadd - scoring a staggering 29 goals in 15 games this season.

Since moving to Qatar from Tunisian club Étoile du Sahel in 2015, Bounedjah has netted a sensational 98 goals in 76 games for Al Sadd, as well as scoring 7 goals in 17 games for the Algerian national team.

Speaking about his future, Bounedjah said: "If an offer from a European club better than Al Sadd comes to me then I'll go, but if it's an average club that asks me then I'll stay in Qatar.”

Leeds have been exceptional under Marcelo Bielsa this term, and currently sit 2nd in the Sky Bet Championship table, one point off table-toppers Norwich City.

The Verdict

These are really interesting quotes from Bounedjah. I wouldn't perceive Leeds as an "average club", but in terms of ambition,

Bounedjah may be looking for a move to a club that plays either Champions League or Europa League.

His stats look magnificent on paper, and he could definitely rival Kemar Roofe up front for Leeds because of this.
