Garry Monk got off to a bad start as Birmingham City manager with his side losing 1-0 to former club Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

Unfortunately for the ex-Leeds boss, things don’t get any easier this weekend with a trip to high-flying Cardiff City next up.

However, Blues may take heart from the fact that the Welsh side could be without ten players for the game tomorrow due to injuries that have hit Neil Warnock’s men.

The Bluebirds were unconvincing against Barnsley last time out and Monk will be hopeful that his side can cause an upset.

However, the 39-year old is sure to make a few changes after the disappointing defeat to Boro.

Here at FLW, we look at the XI Monk should go with tomorrow.

Thoughts, Birmingham fans? Let us know in the comments below.

The former Brighton keeper has had a poor season but he will keep his place for the game tomorrow.

Monk used the Arsenal loan man on Tuesday and is going to want to continue with a settled back four.

Similarly, Morrison got the nod ahead of Marc Roberts and is sure to get a run in the side.

Dean has established himself as the number one centre-back at St. Andrew’s this season but needs to deliver a big performance in what will be a physical and aggressive game.

Naturally a right-back, the former Brentford man will fill in with Jonathan Grounds injured.

The Dutch midfielder will relish the challenge against Cardiff’s competitive midfield.

As will local lad Gardner who will have to be disciplined as a holding player in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

The big-money summer signing has been a real let down this season but Monk knows the quality he has and will once again start him in Wales tomorrow.

Jeremie Boga will be pushing Adams hard for his place but the ex-Sheffield United man should just get the nod.

Will need to use his pace and direct style to cause Cardiff problems on the counter.

Likewise, Maghoma will need to be a threat when Blues break with his pace, which is surely going to be Monk’s game plan.

In the only change from Tuesday, Gallagher should replace Lukasz Jutkiewicz.

The Southampton man is more mobile than the 28-year old which could vital in helping relieve pressure and turn the Cardiff defence.
