2019 has been a year to forget for Bolton and the club look set to plummet down the Football League as off-field matters overshadow what Phil Parkinson is trying to do in the Championship.

It is a sad state of affairs financially at the club, and things aren’t that much better on the pitch either.

As loyal as the players have been to the Trotters, many will leave in the summer.

Star men will depart and young talents will look for better conditions to succeed - you feel that could well be the case whether the club are in the Championship or drop down into League One.

Here, we look at three players we think may leave the club this summer.

Do you agree, or have we missed a big name that could leave? Let us know in the comments.

Sammy Ameobi

Sammy Ameobi has been a great servant to Bolton in recent years but it feels as though he will leave.

There will be a number of suitors in the Championship for Ameobi’s services. They'll recognise that if you get the guy firing, he could be useful.

Josh Magennis

Josh Magennis has failed to really dig up any trees for Bolton this season, and has scored just four league goals at the club.

The 28-year-old could well leave this summer and look for better conditions to succeed.

Mark Beevers

Mark Beevers has been linked with a surprise move to the MLS, with Sun journalist Alan Nixon tweeting that DC United are tempted with a move for the experienced defender.

He has been a good player for Bolton but his time is up but might look for a fresh start away from the turmoil.
