Wednesday evening sees the second batch of fixtures from matchday 14 of the Championship after the weekend’s resumption of the second-tier after the international break.

It was a pulsating return for second-tier with goals aplenty and just as many talking points after Saturday’s round of games.

Lee Johnson’s men were able to see off Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon thanks to an 89th-minute winner from Niclas Eliasson.

They did so against ten men after the sending off of Chris Mepham just before the hour mark.

The Robins host strugglers Hull City at Ashton Gate looking to make it back-to-back wins, and Johnson might look to change things up after his side’s narrow win last weekend.

With that said, here is the Bristol City XI we expect Johnson to field v Hull tomorrow.

The young goalkeeper made his debut in the win over Brentford and registered his first clean sheet on that occasion, too.

There is no reason why he should not continue in goal tomorrow evening after an impressive maiden performance between the sticks last weekend.

The 27-year-old has made 13 appearances for the Robins in the Championship this season and should continue at right-back tomorrow evening against Hull City.

He has one assist to his name this term and has been ever reliable in his defensive role for Lee Johnson this season.

There is every expectation he starts tomorrow evening.

A Bristol City ever-present this term, Adam Webster has been impressive at the back for Lee Johnson’s men.

The 23-year-old is one of the main reasons why the Robins find themselves in tenth place in the division after 13 matches.

There’s an expectation that he will continue once more tomorrow evening.

After Nathan Baker was replaced due to injury in last weekend’s win, Lloyd Kelly was moved from left-back into the heart of defence alongside Adam Webster.

We fully expect that the 20-year-old will keep his place but shift inside to allow for another left-back to be called upon.

A substitute in the win over Brentford, Jay Dasilva was called upon after an injury to Nathan Baker.

He came on at left-back and with Baker still out; it is fully expected that the defender retains his place and starts tomorrow evening against Hull.

The attacker, who has been deployed on the right-hand side of midfield has made 11 appearances for the Robins this term and was their match-winner on the weekend.

After registering three assists this term, Saturday saw him open his goal account, and we fully expect him to keep his place after a positive performance last time out.

Another ever-present for the Robins, Marlon Pack is the driving force in the Bristol City midfield.

He has one goal and one assist to his name after 13 matches, and he will have every thought on improving that as well as helping his side to a second successive win on Wednesday evening.

He is expected to start once more.

Josh Brownhill has a solid partnership in the middle of the park with Marlon Pack, and he too has featured in every match for the Robins this term.

More prolific than his teammate, he has two goals and two assists and will be expected to start once more tomorrow evening.

It has been a mixed campaign for Jame Paterson who has started six of his 11 matches this term.

The direct, pacey wide man is adept at getting forward and getting involved in the attacking third.

Able to contribute to defence matters, too, we expect him to start tomorrow evening.

Bristol City’s top scorer this season with five goals, he has appeared in all 13 of the Robins’ Championship fixtures so far.

He has, however, failed to score in his last eight matches, but with his clinical touch and ability to score at any minute, Lee Johnson would be remiss to leave him out.

There is a hope he can score whenever he plays, so we expect Andreas Weimann to continue in attack.

Famara Diedhiou has managed two goals this term from his eight appearances.

Only have of those have come from the start, with the other four being from the substitute’s bench.

Matt Taylor was preferred from the start last weekend, but without the striker scoring, Diedhiou could be in line for a recall.

And we expect the 25-year-old to start tomorrow evening.
