With one game left to play in this season's Sky Bet Championship, Bolton Wanderers find themselves in a bit of trouble.

Having started the season abysmally, Bolton had recovered and looked like they were going to cruise to safety this year.

But a sudden reversal of form has seen them slide down the table again and a run of six losses and one draw in their last seven matches means that they have now dropped into the relegation zone.

Last weekend's loss against Burton Albion was a real kick in the teeth for the Trotters, who dropped from the safety of 21st down to 23rd spot.

They are one point behind Barnsley with just one game left to play and relegation is looking like a real possibility.

While their league status is still in doubt, Bolton will shelve any summer spending plans.

But as soon as the season is over, they will need to start preparing for next season, whether that be in the Championship or League One.

Either way, here are two players that need to be axed and two that need to come in this summer.

Amos has been shipped out on loan in the past two seasons and Phil Parkinson does not appear to be a fan of the goalkeeper.

The 28-year-old is down in League One with Charlton Athletic this term and still finds himself behind Mark Howard and Ben Alnwick at Bolton.

With one year left on his deal, the former Manchester United youngster should be offloaded if they receive any bids.

Both Ben Alnwick and Mark Howard are out of contract this summer so Bolton could bring in a new goalkeeper.

Fleetwood Town's Cairns is a free agent this summer and the towering stopper would be an excellent signing for the Trotters.

The 25-year-old has previously attracted interest from Premier League side West Ham and he would be a coup for Bolton in either the second or third tier.

Bolton have had many below-par performers this year but Derik is one of the main guilty culprits.

The Spaniard can play as a centre back or as a defensive midfielder but he has failed to impress in either position.

With the former Real Madrid youngster's contract coming to an end, Bolton should let the 25-year-old go.

Bolton should swoop for Oztumer, an exciting attacking midfielder at Walsall.

Rated at £270k by transfermarkt, the "Turkish Messi" is out of contract and will not be penning fresh terms with the Saddlers, meaning Bolton can sign him on a free.

With 15 goals and eight assists to his name this season, the diminutive 26-year-old is likely to attract a lot of interest this summer.
