It’s a big night in the Sky Bet Championship for Leeds United, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side looking to bounce back following Saturday’s defeat to Birmingham City.

Leeds lost out to Che Adams’ goal on Saturday, with Sheffield United stealing back the advantage in the race for the top-two by beating Preston North End.

Now it is the turn of Leeds to take on Preston, with Bielsa’s side heading to Deepdale tonight.

For Bielsa, he has a few selections dilemmas following a poor afternoon in Birmingham, whilst Pablo Hernandez is struggling with a knock to his ankle – although the Yorkshire Evening Post note that he has travelled to Preston.

Here, we take a look at the XI we expect to see from Bielsa…

Honestly, it is hard to see too many changes to the defensive unit, with Kiko Casilla in great form at Birmingham.

Ahead of him, Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Ezgjan Alioski are likely to feature from right to left, whilst Kalvin Phillips will protect them in defensive midfield.

Phillips featuring in a back three at Birmingham hampered the performance of Mateusz Klich, but with the 23-year-old back in midfield, the Polish international can move into his favoured advanced position.

Hernandez might’ve travelled, but you doubt Bielsa will want to take too many risks with the Spaniard. That could force a reshuffle, with Kemar Roofe coming back into the side to take up a No.10 role and Tyler Roberts shifting out to the wing.

On the opposite flank Jack Harrison drops out, with Stuart Dallas – the man who replaced him at half-time at Birmingham – coming into the side. The 27-year-old hasn’t started many games on the wing for Leeds this season, but away from home his effort will be appreciated.

We are expecting to see Bielsa keep faith with Patrick Bamford in attack despite the striker’s lack of goals in recent weeks, although the 25-year-old is beginning to owe some big performances after missed chances.
