West Brom defender Kyle Bartley believes it will take time for the Baggies to really click under Darren Moore after a hectic summer period.

The rookie boss has had to reshape his squad after the West Midlands side were relegated last season, with several big players moving on.

As well as that, he has brought in several new faces, including Bartley, as he looks to freshen things up.

And, the summer signing from Swansea reckons it will take time before the team begin to play in the exact way that Moore wants.

"Everybody around the place knows that we're in a slight transitional phase. We're coming down from the Premier League, under new management and trying to play a different style of football," he told the official site.

Yet, the 27-year-old made it clear that it's all about results for Albion as they look to bounce back immediately: "But most importantly we need to win games. That's what we've talked about. If we can do that playing good football then it's even better."

Moore's men have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three games so far this season.

The Verdict

This is a very fair comment from Bartley and it could take time for Moore to make his mark on the team.

Everyone knows that it's tough for sides who come down, you need to lift the mood around the club and there's a high turnover of players, whilst you're expected to win most games as this is happening.

Therefore, as Bartley says, patience is key and for now it's about grinding out results as the new players gel and work on a new style.
