West Bromwich Albion will be looking to continue their recent fine form this weekend as they play host to Middlesbrough at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies saw off the stiff resistance of Hull City on Wednesday to get back to winning ways on home turf and will be thankful to Karlan Grant for finding the net for his side once again.

That result saw the Midlands side close the gap on the leaders Bournemouth to just six points as the early race for the automatic promotion places heats up, particularly after the Cherries suffered their first defeat of the season to Preston North End.

Albion will now be seeking to dispatch of a Boro side who have lost their last two Sky Bet Championship outings.

Here, we take a you through our predicted West Brom starting eleven for their game against Middlesbrough.

Sam Johnstone will be between the sticks for the Baggies as he has been for the entirety of the campaign.

There should be one enforced change to the backline, with Semi Ajayi set to come in for the injured Kean Bryan as part of a back three that will also be made up of Matt Clarke and the returning Kyle Bartley, who should get a recall after serving a one match ban.

In midfield, Robert Snodgrass and Jake Livermore will patrol the centre of the field, with the former being given the licence to drift out wide in order to create overloads when Albion are in possession.

Meanwhile Conor Townsend and another returnee in Darnell Furlong should take up their positions as wing backs, with the impressive Taylor Gardner-Hickman dropping out on the right for this game.

Up top West Brom will be expected to start with a versatile and fluid front three of Grant, Callum Robinson and Matt Phillips, with the trio being given the opportunity to interchange throughout the 90 minutes as they did to great effect during the midweek win over Hull as they take to the Hawthorns pitch again.
