Birmingham City will be hoping to pull themselves clear of the relegation dogfight with a positive result against promotion-chasing, Sheffield United this evening.

The Blues were impressive in their last game, when they beat Leeds United at St Andrew's 1-0 at the weekend.

But how can we expect to see Garry Monk's side line-up for the game this evening?

Find out below....

It's unlikely that we'll see wholesale changes by Garry Monk for this game, as he won't want to change the side that beat promotion-chasing, Leeds United.

But the Birmingham boss is forced into one change with Maikel Kieftenbeld being ruled out for the foreseeable future with an anterior knee ligament injury picked up in the win over Leeds.

David Davis is the most likely replacement to come into the starting XI for this one, and he'll be keen to establish himself in the squad as the season heads towards a conclusion.

Jota could be in line to return to the starting XI in this one after putting in an impressive display off the substitutes bench against Marcelo Bielsa's side at the weekend.

He could replace Connor Mahoney who has struggled to make a notable impact since having a run in the side in recent weeks.

One area where we won't see changes for Birmingham is up-front, with Che Adams and Lucas Jutkiewicz continuing to be one of the strongest strike partnerships in the Championship this season.

The pair have 33 league goals between them, and without their contribution, the Blues would be struggling in their fight to retain their Championship status.

A win for Birmingham here would certainly ease their relegation fears, but they will be well aware of the threat that Sheffield United are going to pose to them on Wednesday evening.
