According to D3D4 Football, Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet is set to be closing in on a move to Lee Bowyer's Charlton side.

The forward has been in excellent form so far this season, and it's easy to see why any club in the Championship would want to bring him in at this current point.

Gnanduillet has netted 15 goals in all competitions so far this season and has set League One alight as Blackpool look to aim for a play-off place.

Bowyer will be hoping to get the move done so that he has another face in the door as Charlton have one of the smallest squads in the division.

This could well signal the end of Lyle Taylor's reign at Charlton as the striker has reportedly rejected a contract offer from the club. It looks as though Gnanduillet may well be his replacement.

The Verdict

He's been phenomenal for Blackpool so far this campaign, and yes it is a step up but he can make it due to the physical nature of his play and the power he has when running.

He showed his presence against Reading in the FA Cup on the weekend and was excellent in bullying one of the young Royals defenders making his debut.

If he can bring this type of physicality to Charlton then he'll be an excellent asset for the squad and someone that would improve their chance of scoring more goals throughout the season which could play a big part in keeping them away from any relegation battle.
