Millwall have had an indifferent first half of the season where they have struggled to stay clear of the drop.

Despite this, they have had a resurgence of late, with two wins either side of New Year, as well as a win in the FA Cup last weekend.

The recent form has been great, but Millwall are far from safe and they could easily get dragged back into a relegation scrap.

They will look at January as a way to strengthen their squad and allow Harris’ men to up their results in 2019.

To do that, they may have to let go of some of their fringe players, to free up some space on the wage bill.

Here, we look at THREE players we think could realistically leave the club by the end of the January transfer window, due to a lack of game time and also to raise money.

Do you agree, or can you see any other players being axed in the month of January? Let us know in the comments below if so.

Jem Karacan

Jem Karacan has struggled for minutes this season and despite a positive career at this level, it looks like he may be ‘past it’.

He has barely featured and a move down a division, or abroad, could serve him best.

He signed on a short-term deal, but he has hardly started, so a move away seems likely.

Conor McLaughlin

Now 27, Conor McLaughlin has made just six Championship appearances for Millwall this season, which isn't enough for a player supposedly in the peak years of his career.

The Northern Irish full-back will probably want to move on to seek more regular game time, and this could free up some wages for Millwall to make a signing this month.

Sid Nelson

Nelson could well be a player we see back out on loan in 2019.

He's been with Swindon this season and impressed, but he is unlikely to get game time back at the Den.

He's definitely someone that could move on in the coming weeks.
