West Bromwich Albion find themselves on a testing run of results, with Darren Moore’s side slipping out of the play-off places following defeat to Hull City last weekend.

The Baggies had enjoyed a good start on their Championship return, even topping the Championship table on occasion, playing an exciting brand of attacking football.

However, during that time, a leaky defence was still shipping goals, struggling to adapt to the 3-4-1-2 formation Moore had introduced.

Now teams have began to nullify the Baggies attack, results have dipped, with Moore’s side winless in their last four ahead of this weekend’s clash with Leeds United.

Ahead of the weekend, Moore has been boosted, though, with the Birmingham Mail revealing that Kieran Gibbs will be available again, whilst Kyle Bartley is back in contention following suspension.

After that team news emerged, we decided to take a look at the defensive unit we expect Moore to field against Leeds…

Johnstone is Moore’s No.1 and should continue against the Whites.

Moore may be tempted to ditch his 3-4-1-2 formation and revert to a four man defence.

If he does that, Dawson could switch to right-back.

The Egyptian isn’t convincing, but Moore has placed a lot of faith in him this season and it’d be a surprise if he didn’t continue.

The 27-year-old is back in contention and should return against his former club.

He’s better suited to a back-four, where his passing game isn’t needed as much.

Gibbs is another returning and he should slot back into a left-back position.

He will still have a licence to get forward, with Dawson more of a defensive player on the opposite side.
